A pinhole image of some life-size dinosaurs made of foam by a creative Santa Fe gentleman who has passed on. They are just off I-25 south of town.

Great subject for pinhole photography Joe --- though I've visited Santa Fe many times, I was unaware of the foam dinosaurs. How large are these creations?

Hey, Gary! These creations are close to the size the actual dinosaurs would be. I would guess about 20-25 feet tall. The guy who made them did a fantastic job with shape and proportions. There are two large ones and a smaller young one. There is also a T-Rex that is breaking out of the side of a building next to these one's. Quite a sight to see!

If you scroll down this page quite a ways, there is an image of them with humans in the shot for scale, and a Smart car:

I suppose there were only pin hole cameras in the age of the dinosaurs:)
I like the soft look.

Joe --- I just discovered that there's a pinhole exhibit  in your backyard (History Museum.) I assume that you may have visited it?

I knew about it, but I haven't been to it yet. They even have a few lectures open to the public. I have just been playing around with it. My next effort will be to make the optimum size pinhole in brass and attach it to the body cap. With the right size hole, you get an image that is reasonably sharp. It seems to be best when it is made in metal, and not the plastic of a body cap. Thanks for the info, Gary!
