Very nice! I think a darker background could make the droplet standout more. Well done.

Very pretty-looks like a jewel or a glass pendant. Perhaps a little less background? I do like how it shines and glows.

Good suggestion, it tends to get lost in the same coloured bg, a shade or two darker would really make the droplet pop!

Thanks everyone.
Gary, the background creates automatically in the process from the original picture.
I wanted to change the bg too. Since the original picture was a softer one, I was not able to select the drop alone.
I tried using mask, the droplet looked odd. So gave up.

Cindy, I wanted a less background too. But my husband loved the 9x16.

A technique called "luminous masking" can be used to speed up the selection process of clear objects along with blend modes. But it would probably be faster just to use the selection tool and refine it by hand painting black on a white mask over the drop and then use an adjustment layer to change the BG (tip:  use a temporary layer with the contrast brought way up to make the selection easier and discard it after the mask is made). It may blend better if you did this before applying the filters you used to make this, but would work on the final also.

I really like the metal glass look you came up with.
