Another day another cedar waxwing. The photo was manipulated then a painting texture was blended in.

Wow-intense colors! Like the matching reds in the wings and apples. The waxwing is nice. I wonder if the whole would benefit from a little less prominence of the foreground apples-they kind of dominate the picture. I might also tone down or clone out the apples above the bird's head. Love the purples and blues.

Very striking image Jerry -- I love the bold color, though I agree with Cindy about the apples above the waxwing's head. A beauty!

Love the colours and the apples just glow! I agree on getting rid of the apples over the waxwing's head, they are rather like the 'sword of Damocles' and I think the overall image will benefit from their removal, the rest of the scene is so pretty.

I removed the sword, cleaned up a couple of other things, and recropped.

Amazing!   Thanks to your expertise, a whole new feeling with the picture now Jerry.

Absolutely gorgeous!  This would be a stunner framed.

Lovely image. The modified one looks better.

Love the colors and the sharpness of the apple and bird vs the lovely soft background. I, too, would like to clone out the two apples above the Cedar Waxwing's head. I'd try Content Aware in Photoshop because it's so easy and usually fills in a nice facsimile to match the background next to it.
