The cedar waxwings are filling up on the neighbor's apples.
I selected the colors from the photo and painted over the original using a mixture of regular and mixer brushes in Photoshop. A texture was applied and then finished in Nik.

Very nice treatment and pose Jerry. I almost thought it was the cut-out filter.

Nice graphic effect, Jerry. Do your waxwings get a little tipsy on fermented apples? They do here. :)

I like the graphic quality to this one Jerry, lovely clean outlines. Like Jackie I was thinking cut-out and what you did works really well with the distinctive outline of the waxwing.

I tried cut-out, but went with the hand painting this time.

Lovely image Jerry -- I really slight the slightly abstract treatment. Great color and texture too!
