Wonderful pose and expression- well done! Love the contrasts. Wonder if you could bring out the upper beak just a bit more-it almost gets lost in the background. Maybe use dodge on it or the BG. Really nice work!

Amazing and beautiful.  I agree with Cynthia about the upper beak not standing out from the background.  I would achieve that using the Viveza program by NIK.  It is so easy because the program does the work in layers for you.  Just place the Contact Point on the dark background area around the beak then expand the brush to include how much area you want to lighten.  Use the Brighten slider to lighten the background.  I would take out the little branch on the 'landing strip' because it takes away from the impact of the 'landing gear'.  Either way it is a fabulous image and I LOVE it.
