Had a pair of these in the yard during the recent snows here in NC. Not a species I see often.

Probably don't see snow much either? I like the hunched pose and setting- really tells a story. A very small bird in a big scary world! We get them here in Vermont. Nice that you got the ruby crown-that's usually hidden. What post-processing did you use?

Some aggressive contrast enhancement and then Stong Large Details from Detail Extractor in Color Efex Pro 4.

I am new to using lots of post on photos. I am really just playing around and seeing what works for a shot.

Color Efex is a good one for playing around, I often use that with Viveza. Like the antler perch and the ruby crown.
