Here is a book that some you may find interesting...since Central Oregon has the most diverse concentration of woodpeckers, it also has a high concentration of owls.  This book looks into the relationship of owls and woodpeckers.

He is giving a Bird Photography Workshop in the Portland, Oregon, area on April 11, sponsored by the Friends of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge.
