Cooper's Hawk

Hello all, it has been quite some time since i last contributed here. I recently moved to the other side of the world. New Zealand to be more precise. I went a couple months with no internet so sharing photos wasn't an option really. Recently i have come into some internets and have been silently lurking in the shadows of the web. This is my favourite site to see some of the best bird images from around the world.
 I am going to start off by posting an image taken at my friend Tim Zurowski's blind a couple years ago.By now i am sure everyone knows this is the place to see California Quail up close and friendly like. On this particular day i had one of my most memorable experiences from shooting in Tim's yard. Tim had a rock positioned out for the quail to get up on(which they did),but it was what flew into the yard next that blew my mind. A Coopers hawk came and landed right on the rock in front of us. It had no idea we were even there. It gave us about a minute or so before moving a long. Its moments like those that keep me so stoked to shoot.
