Although we have a fair number of snowy owls in the Ottawa area (at least 5+ in the Eagleson - Richmond road area) it pales in comparison to places like Wolfe Island where a survey counted 46 snowy owls yesterday. 46.
Someone counted 26 snowy owls on Amherst Island in late January. Also in January, 11 were seen east of Casselman and in the St-Isidore area. This is the 3rd straight year where higher than normal numbers of these owls have been seen. 7D MK2, 70-200 2.8L + 1.4x III, handheld. Hope everyone is having a great winter. Thanks for looking. |
