House Sparrow

I know, the good old boring House Sparrow :-) The male is still an attractive bird though IMO.
An introduced bird here in Australia that is common, even in the dry northern towns (this was taken in northern Victoria). I actually found the sparrows there to be quite nervy and difficult to shoot.

Nicely done Greg. Agree that the males of this specie are quite attractive. I have lived in my current home for over 30 years and have never had one show up at my feeder. They are all at the local McDonalds eating french fries!

For a 'boring' bird, this is a pretty good-looking specimen, pretty perch, too.

I agree they are attractive and its not their fault they ruined some bird populations for a while.. great shot..on what i think is a crape myrtle
