One of the target bird on this trip to CostaRica. I found it at  Savegre Lodge early morning in horrible light, but the environment was amazing, magic.

Hope to have a chance at this species this year, on my trip to Costa Rica. Love the surrounds with the birds bright colors showing it off so well.

Your self assessment covers the downside. The upside is that it's a really clean look at an unbelievably gorgeous bird.

The setting/habitat and the composition is spot-on. What an attractive looking bird! However, on my screen it looks as if it had been selectively processed - the bird and the background, and it made the bird looked a bit 'stuck-on' against the much duller backdrop.
Regards,

Des

Beautiful image Peter! I love the mystical, magical quality of the habitat - and of course the wonderful subject.

Absolutely incredible. What a great job, and the setting really helps the birds beauty stand out big time...This is a seller. And I hope you have huge files, cause this needs to be sold as a very large print...
