Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in South Texas.

Nikon D7100, 300mm f/2.8 lens, 1/320 sec at f/5.6, ISO 500

Posted a Male Pyrrhuloxia yesterday.  For people who may not have seen this bird before, this is a Female Pyrrhuloxia.  Both are very handsome birds.

A very nice setting and a good example of how an unclean BG can enhance an image, IMHO. Great. If you are not opposed to cloning, maybe try to clone out the purple flower closest to the bird's head on the right side of the photo, and maybe the one that appears to pierce through the bird's nape?

Best,

Matt
