This is one of my most favorite species to photograph, and we are fortunate to have a couple of good locations reasonably close. This one was taken in February of this year.

Nikon D800, Nikkor 500mm VR II, ISO 400, 1/800, f7.1, -1/3 EV

Mike this is a sensational capture! I wish it were mine! IMO, cropping some from the bottom and opening up on the top would improve it. I feel like the stump is competing for my attention.
