Sacred Ibis, an African species invasive in western France. A few of these birds escaped from a french zoo in the 1980's. Now they are thousands breeding on the french western coast. Eradication was decided, especially because they can eat Tern eggs and chicks. I took this picture last sunday, demonstrating that some keep going ! The picture is a bit dull, as was the weather (EV = 11), but I thought it fits the bird's look pretty well. Thanks for watching ! C&C welcome. |
