They are quite common in the burned Ponderosa forests of Central Oregon...my wish list is the American 3 toe woodpecker, fairly common but I haven't been able to get a good shot. Nice shot of this juvi.

Beautiful bird and great exposure. This is a lovely image David. If it were mine, and there was more canvas, I would tend to crop up at the bottom and open it up a bit on the top and right.
