Going over to the mainland my mission was to catch a perched Short-eared on a funky piece of drift wood. While this is one of very few images I got with the D7100 that I was pleased with, I was pretty happy with coming close to my mission. :)

It certainly works well. Perfect shape and composition as well. Short-eared owls are really a good owl to get. Well done.

It was Dec 29, 2014 when I owned the D7100 for a short period. I sold the D7100 and got the D7200 when it came out.
