This juvie was looking for a nice landing spot in anticipation of enjoying his little meal.

SoCal, 1D4, 600f/4 + 1.4XT, 1/2500 @ f/8, ISO 500, natural prey.

Wow Lynn. This is an amazing image. The stare gives me goosebumps and I love the fantail. Great dark bg making the bird pop. The prey puts this over the top for me.
