Portrait. This was so unusual to get a shot of this bird sitting still. They are constantly on the go looking for meals to take back to the nest. Wish I had a better perch but this was near the nest and they obviously looked for bugs often at this location.

I think the perch is appropriate. What a nice image of this species.

Thank you for bringing my attention to the noise. Will go back later and rework image.

Think that you did very well on these hard to expose birds.

Beautiful capture and beautiful bird. Nice one.
Looks like there is a bit of a green cast on my monitor (like the colour space is ProPhoto RGB or Adobe RGB)...is this sRGB?

Very nice! Love the pose and the perfect head angle. The colors and details look great and I really like the BG colors also. I think a bit of NR on only the BG will finish this off nicely. Well done

Love it. The light and pose are excellent. The perch is natural and his choice, so OK. I think the centered comp works here. I can never decide on the comp on shots like this where the body is aligned one way, but the bird is looking the other. I have a trip to the midwest planned for October and hope to photograph this species. Thanks for the inspiration.
