Beautiful bird!  Perhaps a lower angle and looser composition would show it off even better.

Thanks for all of your feedback.  Regarding the Turtle Doves decline it is estimated to be halving ever 6 years,  so dramatic is the decline RSPB & BirdLife International are exploring the possible causes thought to be habitat loss,  lack of reliable food / water resource on the migration route.  There's greater detail at the following link RSPB
