nice..bt tight crop to the left,harsh light and over-sharpened to me..IMO
Let live properly and let them live properly...

Sharp portrait but possibly over-sharpened as mentioned...I can see a black line.

Thanks for the input...very valuable. Image not cropped at all (actually added some canvas at the bottom) as I had to use a 31mm extension tube just to get the 500 to focus as this guy was too close. As to the sharpening, I do see the black line on the top of the head but it doesn't appear in my saved image. But in the latter, the pixel dimensions are 5400 rather than the 800 we're limited to and I note it manifests itself as I reduce the quality aspect to get it under the 240 limit. I'll keep a closer eye on the final outcome next time.

I like the pose and eye contact. Light is getting a little harsh. Agree that it is tight and appears over-sharpened.
