Nice. I like the way mom is looking encouragingly at the chick.

Rachel you have captured a beautiful nature story. Your exposure is spot on too! The chick's mouth doesn't seem to be big enough for that crayfish! Since the story is all about the feeding I would suggest cropping it tight leaving most of the parent and the feeding chick.

nice moment captured...where one chick eagerly to want the food and other chick looking forward to other thing (not seen though)... and agree with cropping idea from Missy Mandel..IMO
Let live properly and let them live properly...

Hi Rachel

We have seen a number of this type of shot and this is another beauty. The recipient chick is going to have to stretch the cavity. The other chick seems a bit bemused as to why he is on the wrong end of the deal.
A real nice one

Rachel, very good image & story. The white reflection highlights the area of most interest & I like the idea of cropping the left side. My taste might be to reduce brightness (or increase vibrance). Probably optical illusion but in all these images with water ripples I wonder about a slight tilt.

Rachel, what a delightful scene with the chick's open mouth about to be fed - wonderful behavior shot, your timing was just right.
