This Pied Kingfisher was captured having an early evening meal on the banks of the Chobe river in the Chobe National Park in Botswana.

A sharp, close crop showing behavior in detail - Nature Photography at its absolute best.

Captured perfectly with an amazing nature story. Giving it more room around would enhance it IMO

Thanks for the constructive criticism.  This particular shot doesn't have much space around it, I was using a crop camera with a 500mm lens and the boat was drifting closer.  But I will look through my other images for one with more space.

Excellent detail that is only achievable by being close, IMO. Really nice.

A little tight of a crop for me but a great image for sure. The frog looks uncomfortable.

Nice sharp image. Some data on settings would be appreciated.

Nikon D7100 + 500mm VR, 1/2000, F4, iso400.

I needed a high shutter speed, because, even though the bird was stationary, it was taken handheld from a small boat.
