Very nice pose and detail. This species seems to have suddenly erupted here in the west. In the 13 years here in the Sierra foothills I never saw one until 3 years ago and now they almost equal the mourning doves at my feeders. In the Oregon desert last week I found them to be as common as mourning doves.

We have had bright coloured beauties, Loons and Kingfishers with large prey I(I am working don the page)...and when I saw the title as a Dove I thought....oh year.. but this is a really beautiful and detailed flight shot that anyone would be proud of.
