A Red Knot from Nome a few weeks ago.

I had to clone out the bands on both legs.

Very nice shot of Red Knot. Nice detail. I find the background a little messy and I admire your frankness on processing.

Great shot Iain! The bands are actually really important to biologists for tracking the birds. If you haven't reported the bands elsewhere, I'd suggest you post the original photo showing the bands on the Wader and Shorebird Conservation Projects page on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/groups/374129302728875). The biologists will be able to tell you where the bird was born, how old it is, and will give them valuable data.

Hi Peter,

I have joined the group and have a photo with all three tags ready to post.

Thanks,
Iain

Excellent! Band info is really critical for the Red Knot. The folks at Wader and Shorebird Conservation Projects will really appreciate your efforts.
