Taken in Barrow with Matthew Studebaker. It was good to finally photograph this Jaeger on its breeding grounds. This bird was relatively tame and allowed us to get closer. This was taken late evening, on slightly cloudy day.

Rajan, so nice for you to have experienced them on their breeding grounds, lovely profile pose and gentle, pleasing BG.  Neat to see the bird standing on the grassy rise.  Beautiful image.

Great find, I'd love to see this species up close sometime. I like the slightly wider crop, angle, light and BG.
