I normally would not shoot this because of all the branch shadows but in this case I think it adds to the image. I did use some fill flash to brighten up the scene.

Here you can see the female bringing a nice bug for one of the babies.

This works pretty darned well for me. You handled the conditions very well and have captured a magic moment. The shadows from the central figures very well.
