Red-necked grebe (Podiceps grisegena)
Malmö, Skåne, Sweden
Canon 70D | 400mm f/5.6 | ISO 400 | 1/800s
My first and only opportunity to photograph this species so far was last summer at a small pond in the most southern parts of Sweden. I arrived at the very last sunlight and discovered a grebe swimming by hearing its almost pig like call. The sure doesn't sound as beautiful as they look. I hope to get back soon... All comments welcome! |
