Is the framing I added to the image OK for the forum?

Hi Michael,
This looks like an interesting shot but too small in size for any serious image critique.
The thick frame doesn't add any value in here either. Try make the most of your available 800 pixels (the long side) !

This looks like a nicely composed shot. To be honest the image has become too small to fully appreciate it. The frame does not add anything for the various viewers and takes away some of your available pixels.

As I write this a similar message has come up from KK

I agree with the others that the bird is too small in the frame. It would be nice to get more feather detail from this lovely bird.
