Super image Tim with a great perch. Were you in a blind for this one?

This bird was reasonably tame, so we did not need to use a blind.

That's a beauty Tim, He doesn't seem to be to worried about posing for you. Where is the estuary at? You don't have to be specific.

Hey Darren. No worries it is no secret :) I figured most people would have seen the location in my first post below of this bird. It was at the Nanaimo River Estuary, just south of the City of Nanaimo. A pair spent the winter there this year and hundreds of local photogs went to photograph them. He did not always stay long on specific perches. We saw this perch and hoped that he would use it, and he did for a few minutes.

This guy is a rock star on the web. Seen lots of great shots of him/her but this one really looks fantastic! The pose with the nice HA and the good look at the classic feathered tarsus looks perfect and the perch is the icing on the cake. Nice frame Tim!
