Orange chinned Parakeet

A common and widespread Parakeet that is found in the lowlands and foothills of Costa Rica, It can be seen in large noisy flocks at the forest edge.

Nikon D7100 , Nikkor 300 2.8 VRII, Tripod

f/8 @ 1/40 sec ISO-640, manual flash

A shame the lower rump/tail area isn't sharp as its at the front of the image to catch the eye, but the head turn is lovely and such sweet detail of that pretty head and bright eye!
