Here's a few more frames of this beautiful Ecuadorian Hillstar from a few weeks back in Ecuador. These hummingbirds are really pretty amazing. Living at elevations up to 5200m ASL they are truly one of the champions of high elevation birds!!

Very nice Glenn, a great looking hummer for sure. I managed to see them when I in Ecuador and got some OK shots but conditions were terrible when I was there, foggy, windy, drizzling rain, which seems to be the norm up there with fine conditions happening occasionally.

A few years back I watched a documentary about these guys and their daily struggle for survival. The image could be cropped a tad but this also works well, it puts the subject into perspective.

As I recall my visit to Ecuador with you not too long ago, I think this was my favourite of the 56 or so Hummingbirds that we photographed there. I trust I shall not be one of few to really like this presentation - perfect for me! Well done!
