Well, I managed to get out after 20+ inches of snow were cleared out yesterday. Remarkably, I found this windswept grass field at the beach where no snow had settled. A few horned larks were feeding on it - only birds within 1/2 mile of me all afternoon. Gotta love the Northeast in winter.......
