Well, I was hoping to get some really nicely lit image this week for my first  Naturescapes post, but the blizzard here in the Northeast is going to shut everything down for the next 3-4 days. Here's a pintail shot from last week. Wish he woulda given me a bit more than just floating around, but such is life.......

Lots of nice stuff here, looking forward to being a part of it.

Canon 100-400mm IS v1 on 1DIV M
1/500 at f/5.6, ISO 1600

Nice first post and welcome to NSN, Dorian!

The subject is well placed in the frame. Magenta cast noted.
If possible a lower shooting angle may improve this image too.

Nice detail in the Pintail. I agree with a lower viewpoint being advantageous.
