This gives a whole new take on the usual overused 'tweet on a twig' type image and it certainly appeals to me! What a little beauty Mike!

Your Northern Pygmy Owls are awesome! Very cute bird indeed.
Your unusual choice of cropping, works well here suggesting well the small size of this species.

Really cool photo. I love the way this is presented in the frame. I think a 500 degree warmer white balance would be a good choice but its a great shot.
