Golden-crowned Sparrow non-breeding plumage

I found a flock of wintering Golden-crowned Sparrow yesterday in San Diego.  Once they became accustomed to me I had a great time getting images.

Canon 40D, Canon 300mm f/2.8, Canon 2X, ISO 640, 1/320 @ f/6.3, FF -2 1/3

Nice pose, the BG is well thrown out but the colour tones are making the bird blend in a bit too much. Previous comment about contrast is right it would defiantly benefit from adding some contrast and would make the bird pop out. Love the little yellow crown.
