Varied thrush

Robins and varied thrushes were repeatedly raiding this mountain ash hybrid tree that was loaded with berries. This was not a set-up. I considered cloning out the OOF berry clump on the left but decided not to. I may still do it as a final image.

Canon 7D2, 500mm f4L IS II, ISO 400, f 4, 1/200 sec, manual exposure, tripod

I decided to add some canvas on the top and bottom and re-cropped as a vertical image. I personally like this version better.

Lovely image, beautifully captured . always adds to the image when they have berries in the beak, I dont think the background berries takes away from this image , I like the portrait version over the landscape .
