I moved back to San Diego in October from Minnesota and now have the chance to photograph Pelicans whenever I like.  I went to La Jolla this past weekend and ran into Phil Colla photographing pelicans too.  Luckily there were a few in breeding plumage.

Canon 7D, Canon 300mm f/2.8, Canon 2x,  ISO 640, 1/6400 @ f/6.3.

Regards,

Terry

Very nice. I'm looking forward to my trip out there in late January!

What dates are you going to be in San Diego?  La Jolla is a 15 minute drive from my house.

I arrived at 7:15 last weekend and there were spots right at the shell shop.

Nice capture, very nice light and detail. So envious of your location.
