Using my vehicle as a blind, I was attempting to photograph this guy in flight when he suddenly alighted on a tree stump.

Nikon D7100, Nikkor 300 2.8 VR II.
f/7.1 @ 1/6400 sec, ISO 640

Wow, really nice. Sometimes, we get lucky and they just set up right in front of us. These are one of those times when it makes all our efforts worth while; they sometimes throw us a bone.
