Common Goldeneye

Hi everyone,

Here's one of my favourite species of waterfowl that frequent the Vancouver area during the winter months. When the light is right, that amazing green really shimmers!

We're very lucky to have many great ponds and lakes right in the city that rarely freeze over and are home to many species of obliging waterfowl. I'm looking forward to the next few months!

All the best,

Very nice light on the green feathers! Perfect exposure on blacks and whites too!

Sweet profile shot, oozing detail. Great water and BG too.
You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely, or perhaps, freeze a moment of it forever in a photograph
