The snow is a perfect backdrop for these handsome falcons hunting.

Taken with a Nikon D7100, 300 2.8 VRII, 1.4 TC
f6.3 @ 1/8000 ISO 400

I was wondering what your follow up would be to your wonderful SE Owl image - and here you go with this lovely Kestrel.  My favourite little raptor, don't they have the most gorgeous eyes.  Beautiful job on exposure with sweet detail in both subject and snowy setting, with a fine capture of the action.  Not bad at all!   :D

Must have been extremely bright to get a reading of 1/8000 at just ISO 400?!
