It is always nice to find a raptor perched in a nice environment! these birds are not as common and numerous as they are in North America so I always get excited when I find one! Image taken at Caribbean lowlands, Costa Rica.

Very complementary perch and background. Love the one-legged pose and stare. A real winner! I have to admit I like this type of beautiful environmental portrait much more than the now more commonly posted blue-sky background flight image. Thanks for sharing.
