Nelson's Sparrow

Brazoria Co, TX

D810, 600, 1.4TC, ISO 640, f9, 1/250

Formerly named Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow, (a tough bird to get out of the grass) I thought this split leg pose showed the namesake tail very well. This was a new species for me to photograph and was taken at first light. Thanks to Mike Gray for finding the bird for me.

Very cool species.
You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely, or perhaps, freeze a moment of it forever in a photograph

We both need to thank my wife who originally showed me this spot and Mike William's for scoping it out. You got good DOF here at f/9 - sweet shot - one of many
