Masked Trogon  Trogon personatus

Just got back to Quito from Bellavista Lodge on the west slope of the Andes.  The Collared Trogon was quite common and approachable around the lodge, feeding on moths attracted to the lights overnight.

Canon 1DMkIV + 500mm f4L IS +  1.4x + 580EXII (@-1 2/3).  -2/3 exp comp for bright BG.

Wow looks amazingly close to our Elegant Trogan. Cool bird, a bit too low in the frame ;)

Nice clean image of this species. Agree it needs to be higher in the frame (or more room added to the bottom)
