Carry-on from pervious post - Alan joined me very early and we got prefect light, no winds and lots of Nelson's Sparrows. Everything worked perfect - This is one taken without clean background - have those too - But for me this truly shows the bird in his habitat - I call all these ammodramus sparrows feathered mice. Spend most of their time running through the grass - in this case cord grass.

Nice. Love the habitat. Great bird.
You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely, or perhaps, freeze a moment of it forever in a photograph

A fun day. A wee bit busy for me and wish for more DOF for the tail.

Great day all around - was lots of fun - I shot this at f/10 and still not enough DOF but this bird was probably closer than the more open perches - not loving idea of climbing back into mud but if I get another forecast similar to one on this day I will probably go back and shot some more!! I have tons of pictures but maybe I can get the little more DOF.
I knew this was to busy for your taste but you know how much by ornithologist friends love the habitat plus I knew you would post one with the better BG's
