Northern Pygmy Owl

This image was made last spring. It was a wet and misty day up on the mountain where this bird was hunting. He was perched quite high in this Cedar, but i was able to climb to the crest of a hill that put me at nearly eye level. This meant i would have to settle for a more distant view, but at least i wasn't shooting up on the bird. The background is a far off misty mountain.
