The Harris's hawk or Harris hawk (Parabuteo unicinctus) formerly known as the bay-winged hawk or dusky hawk, is a medium-large bird of prey that breeds from the southwestern United States south to Chile and central Argentina. One of my favorite raptors. Southwestern united states, Arizona, Texas , Rio grande valley etc are home to these beauties! This  juvi was in the process  molt to adult plumage.Click on image to enlarge and darken canvas.
