Black-shouldered Kite (Elanus caeruleus), is a difficult birds, In Spain their populations is come in tu up.

Photo taken in a fixed hide for wildlife photographers, in Calera. Spain. -  Can See more in my web.

Everything comes together here...the pose, placement in the frame, background,and the prominent black shoulder. Very nice image.

Like the inquisitive pose. I would avoid cutting off the perch at the bottom of the frame, by pointing the camera down
just a bit you could include the cutoff parts as well reduce the empty space above the bird.

Love this species. Great red eye. The BG and perch are wonderful.
