I rencently made a trip to our Caribbean lowlands and found several interesting species. This one for example, is among the most common woodcreepers in Costa Rica but I believe I found it on an interesting perch as I don´t recall seeing this specie on a termite nest. I don´t know if they feed on termites as I watched this bird for a while and it never tryied to eat any termite so not sure.

For this one I used

Mark IV
300f/4@f/5
ISO1000
Hand held
1/250sec.
Image composed in camera.

Many thanks for looking.  :D

Really like the perch and species. I might tone down the bright BG spots.

A really cool species. Love the setting.
You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely, or perhaps, freeze a moment of it forever in a photograph
