Torrent Duck (Merganetta armata)
Cuzco, Peru

I am currently heading back home to Vancouver after having spent all my summer vacations on my home country, Peru . One of the highlights of this trip was to find a pair of Torrent ducks just 2km away from the hotel I've been staying at while I visited Machu Picchu. I have wanted to get a picture of this ducks in moving water for a while, but it was more difficult than I first thought. At a 2 second shutter speed the duck will always move and end up blurry. After 3 afternoons of trying I managed a few frames I am quite happy with.
