Saw this species in Corbett NP. Absolutely gorgeous bird. Very well capture. I like the diagonal line of the perch. Fantastic light and colors!

Really nice comp. Love the BG that compliments the bird. Bird is super. Gotta love that eye.

The bird's name seems to be a bit of an oxymoron. There is nothing common about this amazingly beautiful bird.
Very nice photograph, as the bird is on the perfect perch and offering you a great look at its face.
regards,
bruce

Not only is it not common but a difficult one to spot and get in an open perch. Another gem from you.

Skulker is totally correct....my nemesis bird for years. You did super well getting him out of the undergrowth and posing for a full-length portrait.

Beautiful bird, I like your choice of going vertical here with the bird having a long tail lending to a good vertical. Like
the diagonal perch extending out of the frame.
